I love Dad because I see a man that loves God and lives sincerely. This love gave me the footing I needed to strike out in faith on the path that my father walked. And someday, when my children are parents and have a moment to reflect, I pray that they will smile and say, “Thank God for Dad!"
I want to teach my children more than simply to work. I want them to enjoy it. Right now that seems like a tall order, but I intend to lay the groundwork so that when they are adults, they will see the work waiting, willingly pitch in, and find the purpose and joy that comes from a job well done.
You probably didn’t think about your most recent breath. As long as you are surrounded by a safe, healthy atmosphere, that's how it should be. But what is the atmosphere like in your home? as a parent, how can you be affecting it?
May all mothers everywhere realize the importance of their work, and be diligent to fill their feminine role, one that their children, the children's fathers, and the world needs desperately.
Perfection...as embodied in a peach? No, but some principles from that luscious fruit may point us toward the answer to man's quest for perfection. And for both people and peaches, their Maker deserves their best efforts...besides any and all glory from either.
